My sister graduated from Northgate High School last year and she really loved the school. I do think it is having some issues now but it was a great school in the past. I know they had several bomb threats that turned out to be nothing but it was obviously causing some concerns in the community.

Bellevue Elementary is wonderful from what I hear. There seams to be a lot of young families moving into Bellevue so perhaps that will help to improve the high school again in years to come. Hope that helps.

I have lived in Bellevue for the last seven years and I have really liked living here. There is a great shopping district, a beautiful little park with a library, and many churches. I love the local coffee shop and a few of the small restaurants in town.

One of the downfalls is that there seem to be a lot of teenagers hanging out on the main street and crowding the sidewalks in the shopping district. They need to find something to keep the kids occupied.

It seems that there are a lot of young families moving to the area whereas in the past there was a large elderly population. I think it is a great place to raise a family.

Thank you Chelez613!
Would you say all areas of Bellevue are safe?

I can't really say that I know of any unsafe areas in Bellevue. If you have specific streets that you are interested in I can tell you what I know about those areas. I don't want to make a claim that all areas are perfect because I really don't know that for sure. All that I can claim is that everywhere that I have been and have lived in Bellevue have been very safe.

There is a local paper called the Citizen that comes out every Wednesday. You can order a subscription and have it mailed to you or you can pick it up at the local stores in Bellevue. They report the police incidents for Bellevue and Avalon. I would start reading that to get a better feel where there have been problems.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you want more info on specific streets.
