Not unless the person posted the GPS coordinates within the EXIF data.

I thought you could right click on the photo and go to properties and use the info. there to retrieve the info somehow. But I guess not

Contact the individual and just ask where and when the photo was taken... most here on CD would most likely answer...

Thanks Tinman, it would be from another site where a person shows a photo of something claiming it as his own. I just wanted to check that the photo wasn't lifted from another site somewhere because this poster has done it before.

The only thing you get "maybe" is the histogram. By using Picasa 3 and coping to your desk top.. then into Picasa 3 but who and whom shot the original ... unless they have a embedded water mark with in the data of the image..and as I understand that can be removed..
I've sent numerous request to Google on this idea.. copy and paste in a special browser and it would search for the original posting of the image and who shot when and where.. make it a free services along with Picasa.. if you can geotag a photo any where in the world. Then why not have who posted it with their signature...and when that image is posted the photographer would get a GMail... on where and when posted...So they can reply if copied unauthorized.... Just my two cents...
