I know many of you have been waiting anxiously to hear what the theme will be for the next photo contest. We have decided upon a theme, but are still working out the details. Alpha will start an official thread with the announcement and entry details.
For now, I can give you the theme. Are you ready?
Are you absolutely sure you want to know?
Ok, ok - here it is!
The theme for the August Photo Contest will be - Back to School.
So now is the time to don your thinking caps and see how creative you can be with the theme. Contest details and entry requirements will be posted soon. Stay tuned!
No kids in school tho I am hoping there will be an advance Dog Training Class this time around [not enough people here care about teaching their dogs maners! so last year was a bust!] Anyway the Theme is ok if you have kids in school...tho is it not a bit early?
You really don't need to have kids at all to participate in this. I don't have any kids myself.
One reason I picked this theme is because the possibilities are endless. You can shoot school supplies, school buses, people shopping for school supplies - I could go on. You can shoot landscapes or macros, people or objects. School can be elementary school, college or yes, even dog training class. Heck, you can even choose clown school!
I hope you reconsider, Katie. This is a category that anyone should be able to participate in, whether they have children or not.
When the contest is officially announced, you should be given a few weeks to shoot your photos, so the timing shouldn't be bad.
Great theme! We started talking about school clothes shopping earlier today. I've noticed laptop and school supply commercials starting. Tis the season!
