We have two castles here in Victoria, both built by the Dunsmiur family. Robert Dunsmiur built Craidarroch Castle in the 1890s, and Hatley Castle was built by his son James around 100 years ago, but so far I have only photographed Hatley.
The castle now houses the offices of administrative staff of Royal Roads University. Anyone can tour the lower floor of the castle, but because my ex is on the university staff I have toured all floors.... Here is a link to the castle, it's history and more photos.
Yep. I studied in the UK last spring and got to do a bit of travelling around the country. It was an incredible experience, and I took way too many photos.
