Lots of snow left in the interior of Alaska, and still snowing avery now and then for the past two days, but it should melt by the end of April (or May).
It's a beautiful shots, but it appears to be leaning to the left.... )
This is one of those times when I just had to mention this must be a photo for ... the more you drink the straighter it looks. LOL and J/K!!! It does have a deceiving look to it. I have one very similar to this and will post after work ... sigh!
It's fairly straight, as I took it with the camera mounted on a tripod that has a level on it. If you scroll UP so that the picture moves down on the screen, and stop when the end of the trail is about 1/2" from the bottom edge of the screen. you will notice that the ground to the left is a drop off, and so the ground to the right. Looking at the trail itself is deceiving, until you concentrate on the horizon. The trail itself splits at that point to the left and downhill, and also begins turning right towards the low ground to the right in the background.
But it's true that after a beer or two one may tend to lean to the left if looking at the trail
Opps.. Sorry about that! I didn't intend to come across that way. If one looks at the trail, it drops down to the left, so I imagine that if I drink a beer or two and walk on it, I probably stumble to the left

Ray, Awesome picture! It almost looks like a Terry Redlin painting.

Thanks.
How large does the photo above look on your screen? I hope it's not too large.
Here are two more, taken a little ahead on the trail. I blended the same image (one underexposed and the other overexposed) in one of the photos. This one looks lighter, while the other I ran trough a process called "mapping" and the sky looks bluer. Which one do you like the best?
