lac098...The gate I posted is in my home town of Victoria, BC.
I've heard how beautiful Victoria is but now that I have seen your pictures, I am awestruck at the beauty and the variety your city has to offer! It reminds me of New England and San Francisco in some areas especially the coast and harbors. I would love to know more about Victoria, especially what the four seasons are like weather wise and the best time to visit. We don't ski and have enough of our own snow so that is not important.
pwright1, I have never been to Seattle but have always wanted to go. I was surprised to see how crowded the downtown area was...looked a bit like Manhattan and San Francisco. Does it rain as much as everyone says it does and how do you keep your sanity? People tend to get depressed during the winter in New England because of the frequent grey days so I would imagine it would have a similiar effect although I love the rain and how beautiful everything is from it.
