Pawleys Island Town Hall
When the Town of Pawleys Island, SC incorporated in 1985, this small building was chosen to serve as the Town Hall and Police Department, combined. The building had previously been used as a real estate office, handling rentals for many of the vacation homes on the island. Thirty-one years later, Hurricane Matthew deposited over 4 feet of water in the building, leaving it uninhabitable. A new, much larger Town Hall was finished and occupied in early 2019. The future of the old Town Hall remains uncertain.
