To me, it looks like you took a photo of your tv in a mirror, but since it is smaller than a breadbox, that can't be so. Is it an interior light in a car?

Good guesses, but none are there yet...
hint #2: It is not something that is found in ALL households. My 9 yr and 11 yr olds got it after about 4 minutes.
