EG, I can't rep you again yet but must say that your recent flower pics are just outstanding! I especially liked the ones in post #1911 and #1912 and the red tulip just above. I can tell that you're really working at this and honing your photography skils. Good job!

Thanks PG. But I think it is really my lenses doing the job, helped a little with cloudy skies which brought out a little more pop in the colors. However, wind was being a nuisance last weekend as it usually is in Dallas area. Occasionally, I had to resort to 10 fps shooting mode with hope of getting a keeper or two out of 15-20 shots. I had my new Sony 135mm STF on the SLT-A55 (and Tamron 90mm/2.8 macro on my back up camera, NEX-3) and I believe virtually every shot I've posted is from the former combination (as I continue to work on nearly 500 RAW files from both cameras).

And while I really like that lens for this kind of photography, I took family portraits as well. Those I fell in love with! It is one area I've wanted to get into, and this lens may just push me further towards it. It has a fantastic 3D rendering and is making me consider spending on a full frame camera since Sony won't make this lens with a smaller focal length.

Sony A55 + Tamron 90mm/2.8
