And a Canon PowerShot when I can't carry in my larger gear
FYI, started out with an old Leica, A few Mirandas when I went to SLR. Next A Yashica 200AF for my first auto focus. Then a Canon EOS A3E and I was hooked. EOS 3, EOS 10D (First DSLR), EOS 50D and now the EOS 5D Mlll
Canon A85 and A560 ... old yes (2005) but still give excellent video clips and photos.
Still have my first camera, 1957 Brownie Starlet. Also a 1955 (was my father's) Kodak Pony Bellows Camera, and a 1970 Kowa SLR. All 3 of these still work great, but finding film/developing is rather a problem
Canon SX10 IS is my "comfort zone" camera and easiest for me to cart around.
I am still learning my Nikon D5100 DSLR.
Just dragged out my former DSLR - a Canon D10 and am going to reacquaint myself
What got me into photography as an adult was inheriting a Canon F1 from my husband and having a desire to learn how to use it. Have had a few different Canons since then, including some point-and-shoots. Why I had to go and buy a Nikon I still can't explain to myself. :-)
I still have my Mamiya RB67. It's heavy, but fun. I take it out when I'm going outdoors and can take my time. It was my old studio workhorse so I think it appreciates the fresh air it its retirement.
For work I have the Hasselblad H4D for commercial work. And I just replaced my Canon 1D with the 5D Mark 3. So far so good. But really, that's work and I don't really use them outside of work.
For fun I use a Panasonic lumix point and shoot and my iPhone I hate lugging heavy cameras on vacation or out with friends.
The camera I use 99% of the time is a Fuji X10. I also have a Canon 20d which I very, very rarely use (in fact I'm letting someone borrow it right now, and I'm considering giving it to her because I use it so infrequently). Occasionally I'll shoot film, and my film cameras are:
1. Canon AE-1 Program
2. Canonet QL17 GIII
3. Mamiya C33 Professional
4. Ancient Ziess folding "pocket" camera
5. Kodak Signet 35
6. Kodak Signet 40
When I bought the body it had a Sigma 18-50 f/2.8 EX DC included and I was not expecting much... was I ever wrong. Super lens.
Also have a Nikon 50mm f/1.4
Nikon 55-300mm which frankly isn't very good, but will get me by until I can afford a much better longer lens.
I have been taking photos for as long as I can remember. For film bodies I still have a couple Minolta Maxxum 7000's, and a Maxxum 9000 which I dearly love. Along with a gaggle of lenses for them. I was shooting a Sony DSLR body and had a bag full of the best Minolta Maxxum legacy lenses I owned up until a couple months ago. The bag was stolen with all my "good" stuff in it, and, since I don't like the direction Sony is taking their line of DSLR's, it was time to take the insurance money and go back to Nikon. Insurance got me enough to get started again on the long road to owning good quality again, but it will take some time to replace the quality I lost with lenses for the Nikon.
I have owned Nikon, Canon, Minolta, Sony, Fujica, Ricoh, Yashica, & Pentax for 35mm bodies.
I have used just about all of the other brands and formats at one point or another through friends and family. A dear friend let me use his Hasleblad for a time and it was amazing (but WAY out of my price range.)
