I'd love to see the northern lights some day... but I don't too well in the cold so I'm not sure that will happen

I've seen them in August, and it wasn't cold at all. They are more common in the winter, but happen all year occasionally.

Wow, utterly beautiful. I REALLY want to see these someday. Ive heard of people in Chicagoland seeing them around, but Ive never personally witnessed that beautiful phenomonon. Ugh. One day.....

Well they are much more brilliant and occure more often in winter. But I've seen them in the fall and late spring. It doesn't get really dark enough in the summer months.
