I would not think so since you are pinning it from the current location. There are a few of my photos that have been pinned and I have no issue with it, in fact, it brings more people to my website and other areas that I have photos stored.

well if you pin something without credit, the copyright holder can have a DMCA filed and it will be removed, the picture will be deleted from where ever it is, and thats it..
What tends to happen on pinterest is the original location, aka link back becomes "lost" and the artwork is now just floating in cyberspace. The average person may simply see this as feel free to use this.
In addition: There has been no connection at all between the benefit of pinterest to an artist sales. People who are pinning are not buyers, they are borrowers. Pinterest essentially has no point, no pun intended.

well i will say...pinterest did help my store for a short time period(according to google analytics of how the customers were getting to my site), but i was pinning it myself .
Old thread but related question. I'm fairly new to Pinterest and I see when you pin someone else's photo it takes their description and link to a web site, if there is one. Is it ok to change all that info., including the link when you pin it to a board?
A few yrs ago you had to get permission to do everything on the internet but now with all of these "sharing" web sites, I can't see how they can keep control over it.
Publishers have copyright problem. Pinning doesn't
ok, so that means descriptions can be edited or deleted when pinning?
