It looks like the protective guard between the carpeting of a car and the doorframe. I’d have to say that it’s an SUV ,,,,,maybe a Toyota or Ford? The car is white, carpet black.

I was gonna say maybe the bottom of a boot but the tread is too wide. Whatever it is, it looks rubberized so maybe a snow boot?
