No, not Spam or meatloaf.

Anyone have gmail? When you click on the spam box, there are links to Spam recipes on top of the page! Recently got some for my kids to try- they hated it. They also do not like meatloaf....But they love the stuff in this picture.

No. It's meat- a breakfast meat. It's a regional food from the north east, but is available frozen in my grocery store. You slice it and fry it in a pan.

Not corned beef. Think PA.

The kind that I buy.

It is made from pork, but is called scrapple. It's made from.....parts, for the most part!

http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w76/kshellyflorida/scrapple.jpg (broken link)

Scrapple is a savory mush in which cornmeal and flour, often buckwheat flour, are simmered with pork scraps and trimmings, then formed into a loaf. Small scraps of meat left over from butchering, too small to be used or sold elsewhere, were made into scrapple to avoid waste. Scrapple is best known as a regional food of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, and Maryland.
