The theme is "In your Home State" which consist of your state or country.
However you want to share geographically and translate the beauty of your state or country.
I am considering using the "Home State" contests for the next Year-End Finalist. The reason
is because City-Data is primarily about the USA and World. So let's see how this goes.
We did extremely well in 2009 monthly Home State contests. I'm really proud of
ALL of you!
All photographs must be fresh, taken during current month in 2010. The contest will end by the end of the month.
As to stay on a monthly schedule. Last day for submitting fresh photographs will be on the last
Wednesday of the month. The poll will be opened by last Wednesday late night or last Thursday morning.
You may start posting your photographs as of right now.
Rules are simple:
Two photographs per contest and one vote per member.
Please add your title and any information that you want to share. We do enjoy knowing just a tad bit of information of where-abouts. You have 90 minutes to alter your post. If you need help
with the title or information, just DM me and I will fix it for you.
I would like to keep the thread neat without chattering or texting.
Use the or DISCUSSION THREAD the rep point system (click on the scale on right side of post)
to compliment or comment a poster/photograph.
Any suggestions, DM me please.
DO NOT ASK YOUR CYBER FRIENDS/FAMILY TO VOTE FOR YOU.
It's cheating and unfair to others.
A full-scale replica of the Nina, departing Georgetown SC on 5-17-2010 (www.thenina.com), but it's not hard to imagine a similar scene in the early 1500's, when Spaniard explorers first sailed these same waters.
As has been pointed out to me by an observant CDer, the above pictured water fowl are Canada geese and their goslings. I even had a conversation about this with someone the other day that they are Canada geese, not Canadian geese. Mea culpa! Anyway, I hope you enjoy the picture.
