Here we are again and it's time for yet another City-Data Photography Contest.
If you've participated in one of the previous contests, the format is basically the same.
Here's the rules:
Theme: Back To School
Dates:
Pictures must be taken after July 25, 2008
Pictures can be submitted any time between now and August 25, 2008.
The poll for voting will be set up and opened on as soon as possible around August 26th.
Voting will last until August 29, 2008 and the winner will be announced.
SUBMISSION GUIDLEINES:
So we're gonna use the anonymous email/DM process we used in the previous contest.
Send your entries to this address
cdpicturecontest@gmail.com
With the following info:
Subject line for email: "CD Picture Contest Entry"
In the body of the email provide:
Your name/CD Nick Name
Title for the picture
Date Taken (pictures must be taken during contest time)
Please 1 picture per entry.
Please keep size in mind and try and restrict the size to around 700-800 pixels on the long side.
ShepsMom will be posting all entries in the order they are received beginning on the 18th.
Other important information:
1-First and foremost the goal of the contest is to have fun and get off your duffs and out shooting pictures. So please, no stock photos or ones you took 'two years ago while in Rome'.
2-Please email your picture, date taken, location, and a title of the picture.
3-If you see something that is not original work that's been posted here, please repost the post AND DM me too. We will take care of the post, the picture, and the ramifications of that activity.
4-No restrictions on dimensions, try and limit file size to 400K, but no one is going to be penalized on file size. If you can size it down, great. If not, don't worry about it.(We'd prefer about 800x600 but we won't be mad at ya for larger.)
5-Stick to the theme. If it's plants, we mean plants, not power plants or a gymnast landing. Creativity is one thing, but you must stick to the theme. Who decides if a picture is on theme or not? Me
This contest was just an idea that materialized and we've worked through, and isn't officially sanctioned by City-Data. So if you have issues and or gripes, direct them to me, not City-Data.
Now get out there, shoot some winners, and have your pictures ready for August!
