Please register to participate in our discussions with 2 million other members - it's free and quick! Some forums can only be seen by registered members. After you create your account, you'll be able to customize options and access all our 15,000 new posts/day with fewer ads.
Please read the appropriate DISCUSSION THREAD to be up to date before posting. You may post as many photographs in the discussion thread but the actual contest thread is limited.
The theme of the photo you enter in the "Theme" contest is determined by the winner of the last contest. Your entry photograph must have been taken within 30 days of the date you submitted it.
To be able to stay on a monthly schedule, the last day for submitting entry photographs will be five days before the end of the month, ie, if the month ends on the 30th then photos must be submitted no later than the 25th. If the month ends on the 31st then photos must be submitted no later than the 26th. Etc...
The poll will be opened the day after last day for submitting entry photographs.
Only users who have been registered on City-Data over 30 days and who have at least one valid post may enter the contest or vote on the contest (Rule added Feb 3, 2012)
One photograph per contest and one vote per member.
All photographs must have been taken within 30 days of the date you submitted them.
Please add the title of your photo and any information that you want to share. We do enjoy knowing and the title is placed in the Poll.
You have 90 minutes to alter/edit your post. If you need help with the title or information, just DM me Poncho_NM and I will fix it for you.
Do not use the entry thread for discussions. There is a separate thread to be used for discussions.
If you have an suggestions, you may DM me Poncho_NM . Thanks and good luck!
Rich
The theme for this contest is:
' "Two". The subject has to show two of something, a pair, a couple.'

I think it's a broad enough subject that is plenty open to interpretation and would accommodate every photographer's special techniques, subjects, camera and lenses. So take out your macros, telephotos and wide angles...shoot a pair of love birds, swans, rings, fathers and daughters, mothers and babies, two dogs, two cats, a dog and a cat....you get the picture! Two!!!!
I'm looking forward to many entries this month! Use your imagination, post your best shots and jump in!
Lets begin posting!

Sorry for the inconvenience but I have added a new rule on the photo contests:

Young, cuddling hyenas!
These thing must be quite affectionate because the adults were also doing some cuddling themselves. I took this last week during our zoo visit.
