"If the month ends on the 31th then photos must be submitted no later than the 28th." which means January 28th is the last day to enter this contest.

Did we decide to let the voting go on for 5 days?

5 days should be fine. The only concern for going a little longer is that it will delay of the start of next month. But once the voting starts for January, the next month could be treated as a separate event rather than some kind of linear event. In other words February could be started on the the 1st before voting finishes for January. There's really no good reason one has to be tied to the other IMO. And if approached this way voting could go as long as we think is necessary/adeqaute - 5 days, 10 days, 30 days, whatever.

Yes, I agree.... I need to perhaps re-do the rules, but the three days before was just too short...
