Moving from Atlanta, Ga and I have been doing
some research of Pros and Cons and I came across
this informative forum.

As far as I can gather: Summers are too hot.
People are Rude and Indifferent.
Crime is abundant.
Road Rage in excess.
Traffic violations a regularity.

But, also .................: 3 bedroom, 2 bath all Tile houses
for $725.00 to $800.00 in what
appears to be nice areas just outside
Phoenix. Plenty of Warehouse work
between $12.00 to $16.00 an hour.

Also, This Sub-Division has it's own
school and YMCA with an outdoor pool.

Like I said before...We are from Atlanta, Ga where the heat index
(measurement of heat with humidity) regularly reaches over 100
during the summer. The nightly news is Murder, Rape, Burglary,
Arson and Theft. LOL...We want out.

I know this question has been asked a billion times.
With this scenario... will we like it in Arizona?
We are easy going Home-bodies who aren't looking for
the clubs or night-life of the city.

Also...what is the cable situation?
Can I get NFL Sunday Ticket thru Direct TV
so I can watch Atlanta Falcons games on Sunday?

Sorry for the long post...any opinions would be much appreciated.

Thanx.

That area is fine. Unfortunately foreclosures and the bad economy has driven the down value of homes in that area down. It is still a good place to live, especially at < $800 mo.

But, be aware! It is very far southeast and not convenient as a place to commute from. If you can work in the area OK, but a lot of people moved out there when they were building and quickly realized the commute to Phoenix is a nightmare.

The search function at it's finest.

For your other questions, you're right on the ball about the info regarding phoenix, and for the NFL Pass you can get it, I just had it this year.

If you enjoy the out doors, you'll probably enjoy hiking around the San Tan Regional Park.

Copper Basin is a bit far out there try looking at Johnson Ranch and San Tan Heights as well. Its hotter than Atlanta. No comparison. Traveling to Phoenix is a long drive for sure. NFL should be no problem
