I have a nice view of the neighbors Garbage can out my front window, they tuck it behind a bush so you can't see it from the road, only we have this lovely view. we have a HOA, whats the position on proper storage? mine are in the Garage, which is gross, should you keep them just behind your backyard gate? whats everyone else do? where im from they usually were parked in your driveway. Thanks

Either read your HOA rules (CC&R's) or call the HOA and ask, only they can tell you. Usually, garbage cans are to be stored behind the side gate. We keep our garbage can there, and keep the recycle can in the garage for easier access. I too wouldn't want to keep the garbage can in the garage- gross!

In Green Valley the HOA rules say that Garbage cans cannot be visable by anyone except on pickup day. Everyone that I know keeps them in their garage.

Hello -- We live in Glendale and have a HOA. Our CC & R's state the garbage and recycling barrels must not be visible except on pick-up day. Most people in our neighborhood keep the barrels behind their side gate. One thing I have noticed is that not everybody utilizes the recycling barrel -- people need to get "green" and recycle!

Depends on the HOA, read your CC&Rs.
