It may not look like much . . . but that saguaro represents some of the best times I had when I lived in Phoenix. Papago was my virtual backyard and a many wonderful afternoons were spent here. Good times!

And I thought I could propagate my own seeds and watch 'em grow.

70 years for saguaros to get their "arms".

A truly magical place here in the Sonoran Desert.

Hey Ritchie,
That was shot with a DSLR, an old Olympus E-300 and kit lens. However, I shot the image raw, and post processed it in Photoshop using the "Velvia Vision" plugin to restore the vivid color I remember from this scene. That little tool is my secret to getting vivid colors from my digital images. It does a wonderful job of creating Velvia "film-like" colors. I also used a plugin called Focus Fixer to enhance the sharpness, it creates a film-like sharpness without looking over-sharpened. Hope this helps!
