I saw a bird in the parking lot at Whole Foods (Mayo) today...blush pink head, vivid green back and wings, teal chest. Beautiful. It sat in a tree above me and sang. Seemed unafraid. I was sorry I didn't have any bird seed with me.

Are there flocks of wild parrots here or was this one an escapee?

Edited to add: Apparently everybody knows about them.

They love our sunflowers - just ripped them to shreds.

We have wild parrots in our neighborhood. They live in this one particular saguaro. I love them!

I see them fairly often in my neighborhood. Bright green. They have a pretty loud and distinctive sound and once you recognize it they are easier to spot.

Yup. I've seen them a number of times. About a year ago one landed on the frame of the window that's directly behind my desk at home. It was about three feet away from me, so I got a really good view.

I wouldn't compare them to birds, more like wild jackasses...

I'll have to figure out what kind of food to put out to attract them.

How about parrot heads?
Or dead parrots?
