I've been searching for a good rental to live in (unless I find a house) at first when I move to The Valley but have had a terrible time finding anything of value.

ALL of the sites that review apartments have absolutely horrendous reviews. Yes, I understand it's mostly the unhappy ones that will post a review but the complaints are pretty consistent (loud, unresponsive management, cockroaches, unsafe) even for the rather high end prices that are paid. In fact many people seem to comment on how surprised they are AFTER moving in how poorly the place runs inspite of paying a higher price for rent and it looks good at the beginning.

I've tried to google local rental places where I live now just for a comparison and am finding the same trouble with good places that STANDOUT as clear winners even if the price might be higher.

Any ideas on FOR SURE good places that have management that are consistently keeping up on the place and it stays clean, quiet and safe? I would consider a townhome as well as condo but I'd rather not go much above 1000 a month.

I'd like a backyard for my cats but I understand I would probably have to wait until I get a house.

Preferred areas are NE Phoenix, North Scottsdale and North Phoenix. I'm told the Desert Ridge area has a lot of new construction but is getting way too crowded and the new construction brings on more scorpions.?

Thanks!

  • Are you looking to rent a house, apartment, or condo?
  • Are you wanting it furnished or unfurnished?
  • What is your budget for rent?
  • How long will you plan to rent?
Many places will not take less than a one year lease.

Many places that are furnished charge at least double the rent during the snowbird season because they stay vacant most of the rest of the time.

Furnished places may not allow pets because of possible furniture damage.

With that information people may be better able to assist you.

Did you try Rentals.com? That's where i'm looking for a house. But there's slim pickins in Scottsdale for whatever reason.
