My wife and I found a home that we like in this area. We were originally looking about 3 miles NW of there but it seems like a very safe area (the whole southeast valley south of interstate 60 seems really safe) and close to alot of new stuff. Plus it is only a 25 minute drive to work. Any opinions or info is much appreciated! Thanks!

Hootie, that's a nice area, and I think there are some good priced homes in the communities around there.

Lamoreau Farms, Rancho Del Verde, and Settlers Point are all in that area, and you may be talking about one of those. It's also not very far from the southeast corner of The Islands at Cooper Rd.

Most all areas in Gilbert are safe, and we have an excellent police department. However, bear in mind that no area is crime free.

In that area you're close to the Gilbert Mercy Hospital over at Val Vista and the 202, and take the 202 west and you're just a few minutes from the Chandler Fashion Mall. Of course there's lot's of shopping and restaurants in almost any direction from that area.

I think that would be a very good area. Close to lots of new restaurants, shopping, movies and freeway. You can check out crime at Crime Statistics. Go into Crime Statistics, Gilbert, Burglaries - Theft, then look at area 14.
