Looking at the model analysis from the NWS your area is pretty much the bullseye for later today. Good luck!

Really? Don't we live pretty close to each other?

We didn't get anything last night but we've had a trace of rain (0.01") the night before and had some on July 27th (0.09") then we had 0.34" on July 26th.

I'm looking at model outputs at the NCEP website. I had enough meteorology classes in college to be dangerous! Today is a kind of unusual setup for the monsoon. We have the monsoon moisture, but also a weather disturbance moving in from the southwest. It looks like something you might see with a remnant hurricane in October, but not as potent. There could be some very good rains south of the Rim later today. Where, who knows? Then again, we all know how this kind of thing often goes. High chance of rain, flood watches and then: nothing. I'm hopeful. I even put fertilizer around all my plants this morning in hopes the rain will soak it in.
