have a question for anybody that can help me. i am able to get a job transfer for my work and the spot available is on 51St Ave & Indian School rd. in phoenix and i wanted to know information about the area. im going to be new to arizona and wanted to get people's opinions about the area. i won't be living in the area, just working there. should i be worried about safety, how is the crime around this area? any info would help me greatly. thank you.

From what I've heard on the news and driving through the area a few times, it does not look like a place that I would want to live in. If you are just working there, I'm sure it will be fine...no one is going to pull you out of your car I don't think, but I definitely wouldn't live there, it's pretty run down.

Hmm, do you know if it's a 24 hour drive through or just regular walk in? I know a lot that are 24 hour are drive through only.

I don't know, I think it'll be ok...you never heard of pharmacies being held up.

both the drive thru pharmacy and the regular walk-in part are both open 24 hrs. but i would be able to park my car right in front of the store so that i could see if from front door and obviously there would be lights in the entire parking lot. some stores have a security guard but im not sure if the store has one yet.

Will your employer be supplying the bullet proof vest? In all seriousness, that is one of the worst areas in Phoenix. I am a native and I would never choose to work in that area. Actually no one could pay me enough to work in that area. You need to go either further west (west of the 101 freeway) or further north (north of Thunderbird). Just my opinion.

I agree! I would *possibly* consider the job if it was during the day, but overnight NO WAY!!!

NOT a good area, especially to live. I hope the company you are working for has a lot of safety 'tools' in place for a 24 hour pharmacy. I would worry about being held up just for your 'supplies'....seriously! And I would make sure to bring your 'lunch'....don't be going out anywhere around there at night.
