This is a fairly new consideration so we've not done much research yet, but I am wondering what the job market for HOA management is like. I know that there are many HOA's but with the economy not being at its peak in Arizona right now I'm worried it may not be as easy to find a position as he thinks. Thanks for any input.

Like anyplace else. "Have a Job, before you move". Your husband’s field is glutted right now.

Some HOA companies are growing by buying up smaller less successful companies. So there is the possibility that those companies will need to hire from time to time; and being an experienced manager may be a plus.

I suggest you talk to Brown Management in Mesa as a start.

7255 E Hampton Ave # 101
Mesa, AZ 85209-3312
(480) 539-1396

They're very successful. The owner lives in our community and three years ago we hired them to manage our sub association because he gave us a good rate, and more importantly, we knew they had a solid reputation.

(We did interview 3 other management companies before we made the change to Brown Mgt)

The manager who is assigned to us is the best manager we've ever had.

They can probably refer you to some other companies that may be better to work for than others.
