I'm keep reading posts stating that an "area" or "another" was crowded, the entire PHX is crowded, blah, blah, etc.....

Crowded how? people walking on the streets? crowded malls? (9 to 9 crowded? or just at times? like everywhere else, I know "economy" is bad so it kinda defeats the point if all the unemployed are shopping!) NYC crowded? Traffic crowded? what IS crowded? because if I go by someone else comment that Florida and AZ are sister states as far as the overall general landscape (not the natural one) then other than traffic and grocery stores being busy at rush hour, I don't know where are these crowds?

Thank you,

Well, it depends on who's doing the talking, and "crowded" is also a relative term, but crowded can mean, usually, high vehicle traffic areas, or areas where the houses are crammed close together. I don't think they are referring to crowds walking on sidewalks, which really aren't crowded. Popular malls can be crowded at Christmastime. That's basically it.

Where are you from?
I wouldn't worry about the crowded feeling, it's pretty spread out you can avoid it if you want to. I have, I'm out in a suburb!

Subjective term, crowded. My definition of crowded is the Mini Stack at 4:30pm.

A restaurant might be crowded, but it's probably not so much the crowd, as it is a good restaurant. "Everything", as I have heard so many times, is not crowded in Phoenix. In my opinion, the city can't possibly experience anything but highly localized crowding, such as during sports events.

The thing to keep in mind about the Phoenix area is that it is SPRAWLING. Of all the cities I've been to around the country Phoenix is the one that most reminds me of LA. In truth, it's not that it's super crowded or particularly very densely populated (it isn't) but it's so danged VAST (it seems to go on & on & on) that the end result is that there are a LOT of people (holy cow!).

Crowded is crowded. But, then again, when it's hot as hel* here, it's only "warm" to some.

Yes, lol, that would be funny!

I hear we are like Florida, minus ocean, theme parks, night life, and humidity! Just add 20 degrees to the temp in the summer and you have Phoenix! Oh, and bonus, no hurricanes.
