  1. Are you saying you have a judgment against you that you have not paid?
  2. If so, it will be hard to find an apartment unless you have really low standards. Particularly if your judgment is related to unpaid rent, you'll be hard pressed to find a reputable place that will want you as a tenant.
  3. Best wishes in your search.

So you decided to leave Phoenix, broke your lease, and didn't pay for the remainder of the lease as you were legally required to do? Niiiiice. You're likely to have a tough time finding anyone who will want to rent to you, at least in a nice apartment. The fact that you broke a contract and didn't make it right speaks volumes to a potential landlord about your character. Best wishes to you. You're going to need them.

You might have better luck with a house being rented by a desperate owner. The apartment complexes are going to check and better ones are not going to rent to you. The crappy ones might but even then you are looking at a large deposit that you might not be able to come up with.

You would do better to call a few that you find online than ask on this forum where you are likely to be assailed by people who have nothing to offer but pompous criticism.

Look at Realtor.com under rentals. Punch in the zip and take your pick. There are soooo many condos and homes for rent in PHX where the owners are underwater and just want some cashflow as they wait until the market turns. You should be fine renting for the next few years with or without a judgement. People upside down (like 70%) are very desperate.
And re:this board----Ignore the holier than thou critics that are clueless about any individual's personal circumstances and just want to spew their rules of life ...that they themselves can't live up to.
Good luck.

As to your final comments, the o/p didn't indicate a reason for breaking the lease, nor did she mention if she paid off the judgment. Both of those details might mitigate a negative decision by a potential landlord. I'm not aware of anyone spewing rules of life. If the o/p wants to post on a public forum soliciting opinions, then the public should be able to provide opinions as they deem appropriate.
