Researching many of the nice family towns across Bucks and Montgomery counties. Found come beautiful areas, such as Doylestown and Upper Dublin. Top rated schools are a must and I know Council Rock, as well as Central Bucks are very good. I don't know much about the towns Richboro or Holland. Any feedback on living in these areas would be great. Interested in buying a home on a nice lot-1/2 acre for around $400k. Thanks!

My sister lives in Holland. It's a very nice suburban community right near Newtown. It feeds into the Council Rock School District, which is quite good. I know her children went to the new High School (there are two Council Rock High Schools now). I don't know if all residents of Holland do or not. I give Newtown an edge over Holland, though since it has a downtown core that Holland is lacking. But otherwise, it's very nice.

Richboro, Holland (and Churchville) are very nice suburban towns. Very safe, nice homes, very family friendly etc. You have food stores and small shopping centers nearby but it will take you about 15 minutes or so to get to larger department stores like Target, Kohls, etc. If you are into nature, there are nice parks, etc nearby. I agree with the pp about Newtown and having a nice downtown area. Richboro and Holland lack that but Newtown is quite close. New Hope is also not far and they have a nice downtown area (it can just get quite crowded on nice weekends).
