Philadelphia is a strong sense of place for sure. Part of a feeling of connectedness to a place are certain things that we so stronngly identify with it that they immediately make us go back in our minds to them. They are usually related to shared history and personal hitory. What are the 5 things about Philadelphia yu consider iconic. Can be places (City hall, Art Museum, Fairmount Park, Palestra, skyline), food (Cheesesteaks, restaurant renaissance, soft pretzels, Reading Terminal Market, Tastykakes), culture (various museums, orchestra, Mummers Parade), sports (teams, rowing on the Schuylkill, Penn Relays, Big Five)
I am not sure I can choose among them all. What are yiours?

A little different spin.

1.Incredible location between NYC and DC
2.Affordable Cost of Living relative to NY-DC-Bos.
3. One of the coolest downtowns in the USA
4. Great suburbs and surrounding valleys.
5. 1-2 Hr from clean relaxing beaches.

I visited Philly many times and I always loved flying in over all the ships from WWII. I loved walking through Center City and of course the great food available. The Betsy Ross house is amazing.

I agree. I would put in Cheesesteaks in place of the Italian market though

I thought about putting the Phillies there, but maybe I'm influenced too greatly by recent history!
