I collected sales tax for people who made purchases online from the state I ran the business. I am doing taxes but not seeing a place to deduct this from my revenue. I checked out the help section on turbotax and saw an answer saying Im just supposed to deduct it from my revenue and not report it at all. Is this how I am supposed to do it?
Simple Example:
Revenue with sales tax = 100
Sales Tax = 10
So just report my revenue as 90?
Or is there a box to put the sales tax you paid to the state somewhere.
