Anyone know anything about the new 'vantage' scoring? I get monitored and I realize that equifax and experian uses one scoring system but transunion uses vantage scoring. I noticed it because the trans score was almost 95 pts different than the other two. So I guess what Im trying to ask is how does that affect the way someones score is taken into consideration (say for a loan or whatever).

(If the Trans score was calculated on the old scale, it would be lower than what its showing)....

Thanks for remembering the name of it I couldn't remember the name Vantage. I sure hope lenders sway towards that system, but I just don't see it happening anytime soon.

There are actually a few other scoring models out there, and while they could be considered valid in theory, it's all about the people with the money. The people lending the money choose wihch scoring model they want to use, and 95% of them use the Fair Isaac Corporation (FICO) model.
