I'm looking for one of my uncles. He has basically fallen off the face of the earth. My dad tried finding him before he died in 2010 with no luck through social networking sites, but I found this forum and thought I'd give it a try with your help. I'm not sure anyone has seen him since 1984 when my grandmother (his mother) passed away. My mom has said something about thinking he was in Las Vegas, but I have no idea where she got that one from. His last known residence was in NC (I believe Charlotte).

You can try the address found by rockinmomma but Zillow shows that 4 bedroon townhouse was sold in 2010 and it looks like the current owner is not Arthur Phillips. You could write and letter and ask them if they bought it from, or rented to, Arthur before they moved in. Enclose a stamped self addressed envelope to make it easy for them to give you a reply back. You want a "yes we remember him or no we do not" versus no reply at all. Good luck.

He would be related to Fred Donald Phillips, Bert Phillips, and Marjorie Phillips Vincent. His now deceased brothers are John Edwin Cecil Phillips (died July 1988) and Robert Thomas Phillips (died November 2010). His other siblings didn't survive to adulthood.
Mother is Jewel Gertrude Phillips, father is C P Phillips. He wasn't married when we last knew of him. None of his relatives have any clues.
I sent her a phone number that goes with the address rockinmomma posted. An Arthur Lee Phillips is listed as a relative for that number.
Ok, good hopefully it works out that way.
The home owner is currently believed to be a Culberson per our real estate agent, and of course there could be an error being third handed.

Some of my family members and I have been contacted through someone on Facebook. Apparently he Arthur Lee Phillips had a male partner who died, and now he's close to death. His sisters and brothers are leaning toward not contacting him because he himself didn't ask for it. I was told to stay out of it and not be in contact with the person.
This doesn't feel right, but I don't know what the best thing would be at this point. He's been gone over 20 years from the life he had before. Thoughts?
