I'll give a nod to Pace. Schools are pretty good, and there's enough room so that you can have a house with a decent sized yard.

Downtown renaissance
Downtown Pensacola has been improving a lot the last few years. Perhaps that will bring improvements and make Pensacola a nice place to live.
