When I took my son out of his baby bed to make way for his sister, I told him his sister (or brother) would be using HIS crib. It was always HIS bed that he was letting her use. He was very proud of that fact and even know that they're old, he stills kids his sister about using HIS bed. He would help me put stuff in it for her. He actually started climbing out of his crib at one, kept him there until he was two. He generally slept in his "corner" on the floor or in the closet floor for about the next 6 years. He hated beds! Doctor said if he was happy on the floor, then let him be.
