Here's one source HPV, Cervical Cancer Vaccine: 15 Facts

It's a good starting point.

It only protects against the cervical cancer caused by those 4 strains of HPV. Women can get cervical cancer in any number of ways. This vaccine is not effective enough to risk the side effects and spend a ridiculous amount of money.

Most insurance companies cover the cost. And those 4 strains of HPV that cause most cervical cancers. And the side effects are no worse than any other vaccine, in fact there have been about half the claims of most vaccines. The side effects are not that bad. The claims of death and severe side effects have not been connected to the vaccine yet.

My cousin got polio from the vaccine, she has had 15 surgeries in 12 years and has to wear leg braces. Would that keep you from giving the polio vaccine to your child?

Vaccines are a personal choice, and I am not saying that you should absolutly have your children get the vaccine, especially because they can choose for themselves when they turn 18. However I do think that people should base their decision on facts.

As this reference repeats that this is a 'new' vaccine, I'm guessing it's old information. If you even watch the tv ads, you will notice it says it 'MAY' help prevent. It does not claim to prevent anything.

All vaccines may help prevent. Unless it's a 100% they have to say may. You can get the flu vaccine and still get the flu. Or any vaccine. No vavvine is 100%.

Exactly. Because the vaccine is still quite new. Once the GBS and deaths ARE attributed to the vaccine, maybe they will change it and make it safer. Unfortunately, more girls are going to have to suffer severe side effects before this happens.

Or they could not be related to the vaccine at all. There are more claims of serious side effects in most other vaccines, than Gardasil. So should they pull all vaccines off the market? Claims of death and serious side effects have been attributed to the flu vaccine, the polio vaccine, all vaccines.

Any medication you take can have serious side effects, thats why there are warnings. Many people will have no reaction some will, thats why it is a personal choice.

I won't disagree with you here! (Though many on this forum will... seems to be that most think the worst side effect one can experience from any vaccine is a sore arm!)
