I had 2 c-sections and no complications what so ever. The first was because after 36 hours of labor I was only 6 cm's dilated. The second was because I was 38 weeks pregnant with twins and I wanted them OUT. .

The actual number of deliveries with at least one complication was 0.64 percent in 1998-99 and 0.81 percent in 2004-05. "Even though the absolute numbers are low, the rates are increasing."

Obviously, most people don't have complications if the rate is less than 1%. But it is still interesting to note that the rates of both c-sections and of their complications are increasing dramatically.
