I left my daughter a few times w/ my mom or sister when she was a baby due to a couple conventions or continuing education weekends I attended w/ my husband, but most of them we brought her w/ us. I wouldn't change a thing about taking her on vacation w/ us. Like others said, we would have missed too much not having her share first memories w/ us.

Never. My daughter was always with us. And we took a lot of vacations.

Our first born was 3 months old when we went away for a long weekend (3-4 days). She was about 9 months old when we traveled for over a week out of the country.

We're fortunate in that our parents will come to our home and stay with the kids so their routine and activities aren't disrupted when we travel. The kids actually like it when grandma comes to stay with them.
