Good gosh! Any party with strippers should have ALL guests be 18 or older.

Oh blah. I can't remember what I did on any birthday when I was a teenager. My only recollection, a good one, is that my mother always fixed roast turkey. I thought I was a bit old for birthday parties. But I would have loved to have had a lap dance. I once read of a father who hired an escort for his son's thirteenth birthday. That would have been even better.

That's the age when a boy's hormones are raging; he's already sexualized.

Would I want the some equivalent thing for girls? No, because that's not part of our culture; we do have different standards.

If you're wondering about me, I'm a widower after forty-two years of a great marriage who'll be seventy this year. I've never had a lap dance or been to a strip club or a prostitute. But it wouldn't have harmed me as a kid.

Rofl. That mother is a hero. She should get ZERO punishment. Let's face it. Sixteen year old are physically adults.

Wondering if the kids had dollars to put in the strippers' G-strings. It must have been a low-income night for them otherwise.

This is like when a "father" brings his son to a strip club at 18 or hires a prostitute so the son can "become a man". It's disgusting. I know they boy in this story is 16 and some of his friends ranged in age from 13 to 16, but it's the same type of inappropriate sexual boundary.

I could never imagine bringing my child (at any age) to see strippers or to hire a sex worker.

Yes the kids are physically adults. That doesn't mean this type of entertainment is appropriate.
I think she should lose custody and the strippers should spend at least a night in jail.

OMG, you are so not kidding with that !!!

LOL, I am the father of 3 boys, trust me, this wasn't happening.

I don't understand how ANY parent could do this or even bring an "of age" son or daughter to a strip club or anything like that. It's disgusting. By doing this, you're teaching your child to have zero respect for themselves or for the opposite sex.

Why would any "parent" want to introduce this kind of crap to their child??

Exactly.

My father didn't take me to a strip club. Thank God, I would have dies....
My uncles didn't take my boy cousins to a strip club either.

It is disgusting, and this mother needs some kind of counceling, or maybe a smack in the head to knock some sense into her.

I'm cool, but I am not that cool.
