CHICAGO – Should parents of extremely obese children lose custody for not controlling their kids' weight? A provocative commentary in one of the nation's most distinguished medical journals argues yes, and its authors are joining a quiet chorus of advocates who say the government should be allowed to intervene in extreme cases.
I'll answer here John1960....Absolutely not....Removing these kids from their parents would (in my view) be a devastating and horrendously cruel thing to put these kids through...and they obviously have enough to deal with......If the gov figures they've got the money to put these children in other homes...why not spend that money instead and provide nutritional councelling and guidance for these kids and their families......Also if this tyranny were allowed, what would be next???would smokers loose their kids??.....would drinkers loose their kids???...what about undersize kids??? and where would it end.
