Good call! I had forgotten about this because we train all of our dogs from puppyhood not to be possessive of food, but I agree it's hugely important to teach the dogs to tolerate being pushed, pulled, prodded, having a small one touch their faces/grab their tails even told not to, etc. I also agree that the toddler years require even more monitoring of child-pet interactions than the early months do.
