We were busy today from 8:30-5:30. The kids must be exhausted. DH is putting them to bed now.

Yikes - that's a long day rkb! At least DH is putting them to bed. That always helps. After a long day, I didn't always have the patience to go through the whole bath, teeth, story (or 2 or 4) routine. Having someone else do it occasionally really was so helpful.

Now that they are all grown (pretty much) I find I do miss those sweet times, fresh smelling kids, with damp hair snuggling up and wanting you to read "Alexander and the Terrible Horrible No Good Very Bad Day" just one more time....

Hey all!

So all the furniture is out from the main floor in anticipation of the new flooring tomorrow. Thank goodness DS could help move a few things as something is going on with my tailbone! It's horribly painful and I didn't do anything!

Anyway, all my putting off finishing the painting in my office thinking I had loads of time - well, they scheduled the upstairs flooring for Monday. So I now have to kick it into high gear to get it all ready and done.

mm - hope you have a nice relaxing time!

Thanks jk - you know it's bad when you are actually looking forward to spending 12 hours sitting in the car doing nothing! LOL.....that's actually kind of embarrassing to admit....

How is DS's hip coming along? I may have missed your post doctor visit report...I've been hit or miss with catching things on here lately!

No doubt! But it sounds good anyway.

Actually though, I am one of those lucky to be able to read in the car. The hardest part of the trip for me is doing my share of the driving. That will drive me nuts for sure.

I think I forgot to say anything - he's doing great. Not even limping any longer. But we go back in three weeks to make sure it's healing.

His neck for some reason has really been hurting. Not sure why. Didn't start hurting right after the fall, so don't think it's related. We are all falling apart here.

Hey mm - I'm glad you're having some time off. But we'll miss you, why don't you fix your laptop before you go but don't check your email, in case it's work?

rkb, nice your hubs does the bedtime sometimes. That's one thing I always do. I would like a night off now and again, but I do enjoy the snuggle time. I can't say I'm always a stickler with the bath though. I figure a day here and there won't hurt (well at least until we have school, anyway).

coop - your floors! Finally! Yay!

I wonder if he's been favoring the opposite hip/leg and now has his spine/neck all misaligned? It wouldn't show up immediately after the injury because it's not directly the result of the injury but of his natural reaction to the injury....

I am glad he is healing well. Has he been walking different because of the healing? A bit stiffer? Limping more on one side? anything like that? If so, that could be causing the neck to be hurting.

I had that happen when I broke my foot years ago. My neck started hurting a couple of weeks into recovery. I realized that the way I was walking was changing my entire alignment.
