PHOENIX -- It started with one mom nursing her baby at a McDonald's restaurant in Phoenix on Aug. 12. But Clarissa Bradford and her family, including her 5-month-old son, were asked to leave by the restaurant's manager. Bradford was later offered an apology by the restaurant's owner.
Moms have the legal right to nurse in public, so the manager was way out of line in kicking her out, regardless of his personal feelings about it. He wouldn't even let her finish nursing the baby in her van in the parking lot! Ridiculous.
Breastfeeding is good. Children who breastfeed are more likely to have stronger immune systems, etc. etc. etc. I get that.
Going to a public place and breastfeeding for the express purpose of media attention or making a political statement is exploiting your children, and you should be ashamed of yourself for doing it.

My DIL breastfeeds, but she always has a little cloth
covering her and my grandson.
Breasfeeding is perfectly normal, but common sense
and courtesy, means discression is necessary.
