I leave whole boxes of fabric sheets (peel the carboard opening just a little bit) in the linen closet to keep the towels/sheets smelling good.

Tip of The Day features ideas I hear about--not always ones I've tried. They sound good to me in theory and who knows--some of them (hopefully most of them) may be brilliant. Anyway, the point of this thread is to start some fun conversations. By all means jump in and add jokes, comments, and even your own tips, if you'd like.
I'll try using one of those to clean pet hair off furniture, thanks for the tip normie!

LOL, depends on how you'd smell without 'em...

But you know, I think you may be on to something. I think the lingering scent of a drier sheet would attract more ladies than the smell of a musk ox. (And intelligent ladies too... the sort that realize a man that smells like a drier sheet might help you do the laundry. )

Or have a wife that does his. Just sayin'...

Glad to read these tips, since I have dryer sheets all over this house! I swear, everytime I get a load of clothes out of the dryer, 5 sheets end up falling out!

Lift burned-on casserole residue

"Those sheets will soften more than fabric. The next time food gets burned onto your casserole dish, save the elbow grease. Instead fill the dish with hot water and toss in three or four used softener sheets. Soak overnight, remove the sheets, and you'll have no trouble washing away the residue. Be sure to rinse well."
I tried this. Believe it or not, it really works!

Did that this morning. You're right, it does smell good. And probably lasts a lot longer than those air fresheners.
