I like posting controversial things - not to get people angry, but to challenge them to think out their beliefs. Sometimes I do it by throwing out facts that would get some people outright angry - though that's not my intention. It's to get people to clarify their beliefs (to themselves).
But, there can be that nut out there...
So, some nut can get your picture, scroll through your posts, get an idea where you live (if you post information in the community and interest sections)...And who knows???
I just saw a young lady post a picture of herself (I assume it's real)...Please be careful.

In all fairness, you are probably more likely to be stalked by some MySpace or Facebook pervert than someone on here who doesn't like your views on healthcare reform. Not saying it impossible, but it isn't too likely.

How is it any different than a bunch of people chatting a bar about the same sort of stuff? In fact, they already know what someone looks like. No pic thread even needed. Should the people at the bar somehow conceal themselves so that the nuts never see what their face looks like? I hate how people get so paranoid on the Internet like as though it's worse than a bar. I agree with you that there will always be potential nuts out there, but what the hell are you going to do about it especially if that nut happens to be the very same person that frequents the bar with you?
By the way? I'm not worried. I can certainly take care of myself.
