Tip of the Day~~April 21, 2010 (ideas, newspaper, fun, jokes)

Here's a tip for all you gardeners and cooks.

The quickest way in the world to dry herbs from your garden: just lay a sheet of newspaper on the seat of your car, arrange the herbs in a single layer, then roll up the windows and close the doors. Your herbs will be quickly dried to perfection.

What's more, your car will smell great.

Tip of The Day features ideas I hear about--not always ones I've tried. They sound good to me in theory and who knows--some of them (hopefully most of them) may be brilliant. Anyway, the point of this thread is to start some fun conversations. By all means jump in and add jokes, comments, and even your own tips, if you'd like.

Mint and basil would make my car smell good. Not sure if oregano would be such a good idea, though. It might make me want to cook lasagna all the time.

Thanks for the tip. I was just reading about drying herbs yesterday. I'll pre warn my DH before he gets in the car. He already thinks I'm odd enough.
