Jeff Andrulonis. He owns 4 radio stations in Pennsylvania and was a radio news jockey in Fayetteville, North Carolina.
I met him on New Year's Eve 1999 when I was stationed in nearby Ft. Bragg, N.C. We danced and everything (I was in my first marriage, but my marriage was already bad before we met). We dated for a few months til I got out and came to Arizona. I got back into contact with him last week for the first time in 10 years! He's on wikipedia about the Big Bob radio station there in Pennsylvania.
John & Joan Cusack are my cousins by marriage. I've only met Joan once, but John and I are pretty freindly. He took some drum lessons from me a few years ago when he was preparing for a part. Also, he's an avid runner like I am, so a couple years ago I visited him in Chicago where he lives and we ran the Wrigley Field 10-Miler together.
My Wikipedia-listed acquaintances are mostly science fiction writers. There is a fair number of writers who attend the SF convention I help to plan and put on each year, and I've gotten to know a lot of them with varying degrees of closeness. That's probably about it, though. I don't tend to hang out with celebrities.
Who would've thought - same here
There is a very good chance you and I have passed each other in the halls, if you've attended a WorldCon! Or attended LosCon on the West Coast, LOL. Although I've gafiated for the last 2 years or so.
And to stay on-topic, author David Gerrold is a good friend of mine.
