Hey toosie I would have bailed you out or at least came and sat with you.

I don't have up or down neighbors but what we do have is the school bus stop for some reason in front of my house. They startgathering around 7AM and I have never seen such a rude group of people. These people let these kids run and scream and they actually had a football game this week.
There is one little girl and she lives four houses from me with the loudest mouth I have ever heard on a kid and unless she is the center of attention she will stand there and scream "HELLO" over and over. She ahs one of those hysterical voices as well as the mother.
They came here at Halloween last year and the kid just snatched the candy out of my hand. I looked at her and her mother and said You're Welcome and the mother gave me a dirty look.
NO excuse for ignorance.

Oooooops I think it bothers me more than I thought.

Years ago I lived in a place where the people upstairs were very loud and inconsiderate. I did get even though. When moving out, I shampooed carpets all night long.

I can't really relate to the apartment issues as I have never lived in one. But, I was a night worker - and therefore slept during the day. That's challenging enough and even more so when living next to a man who likes tinkering with motorcycle engines all day. And what happens at the house of a man who tinkers with motorcycle engines? Everyone and his brother shows up on a motorcycle and it seems that all such riders rev their engines before turning them off and then again before departing.

Trust me, a bottle of wine and pair of earplugs were the greatest inventions.

I happy to say I don't have that problem. In TN we have no neighbors and in FL our whole block is seniors and they are pretty quiet.

Now campgrounds is a whole other story.

My pet peeve is living in an apartment where the walls are thin enough to hear what others are doing. I have lived in places where I could literally hear my neighbors answering machine and the messages that were being left on it.

Okay, I'll make some noise about this.. It doesn't matter what time of the day it is, apartment residents should have some consideration for their neighbors and keep the noise down.

I agree that you shouldn't turn it up to 11 no matter what time of day it is but on the other hand, if you live in an apartment you have to expect some noise from your neighbors.
