Anybody else have issues with showering with other people at gyms, spa's, training centers, etc...? I never got use to it in high school at i still never have. I think that it is EXTREMELY personal and should be done alone (except with my wife)

I hated that big shower room and didn't even like the "private" showers in school locker rooms. Still don't shower in public. After swimming I come straight home and shower here rather than stand in everyone else's pee and athlete's foot and ringworm and ewww...see...I imagine all sorts of funky bugs floating around The nudity doesn't bother me.
I don't like the nudity and pretty much ignore the germs. Probably the opposite of what I should be worried about. At the Y, I always take the shower with a curtain.

Hmmm... the nudity didn't bother me either, except they didn't like it whenever I walked into the girls locker/shower room...
Sorry Tossie, I'm only kidding, I never did that.
I never had any problems in PE class in high school, and the big shower room all of us used, the boys that is. There were 4 or 5 boys that got in trouble one time I remember in my junior year in high school ( I wasn't with them) From what I heard, they either ran or streaked into the girls locker room while a number of girls were either getting dressed or showering after PE class.
I used to be more self conscious when I was younger now I don't care. After all we all have the same parts. As long as it's the norm then I have no problem showering in a public place. Usually it's the ones who won't do it who stand out. Just remember to wear you flip flops.
